Lyttelton Time Bank
A bank but not as you know it
Time banking is about creating a web of connections between individuals where every exchange, there is an opportunity to form a connection with another local resident, and through many similar connections, a stronger community is built.
The guiding principle is that there are no throw-away people and is based on the work of Edgar Cahn, founder of Time Banking in the United States.
Time banking is a form of community skills swapping where no money is exchanged, and everybody's time is of equal value.
What skills would you like to share? Who would you like to help?
Drop in and see Jill at the information session at the Lyttelton Library, London Street every Tuesday morning
